Hey, dear reader!
Last week was loud — OMR with all its side events, and Harbour Birthday on the weekend. In all that noise, it was easy to let big news slip away. Hamburg startups had real wins to celebrate. Here's a quick recap of what you might've missed:
Zive got acquired by Docebo. Hamburg founders Jan Marius Marquardt and Piers Wermbter sold their AI knowledge startup to the Italian edtech — 18 months after founding, on just €2.9M raised.
eleQtron, a quantum computing startup, raised €57M Series A led by Schwarz Digits (Lidl/Kaufland's IT arm), with Earlybird and the EIC Fund. eleQtron has a site in Hamburg and is actively hiring — check out their open roles on our job board.
Logicc hit €1M ARR in six months. Compliance-first AI for regulated industries, €2.5M seed from 10x Founders, Redstone, and About You's Tarek Müller.
IFB launched a new €5M AI & robotics funding line. Up to €500K per single project, €2M for consortia. If you're building in autonomous systems, agent-based AI, or AI security — this is for you.
Impossible Founders launched iF Momentum — a new deep-tech accelerator with €100K convertible per startup. The bar is high (TRL ≥5), but if you're past the prototype stage, take a look.
It’s amazing to see that AI and deeptech are pulling Hamburg's startup story forward — the same sectors driving most of last year's new startups.
A quick community note: on May 18, we're doing the next Co-working Day at betahaus. Come work alongside other founders and builders from the community, and get some of that spirit Hamburg so badly needs. See you there!
