Hey, dear reader!
Last week was hands down the busiest and best week in terms of number and quality of the events đ
My personal highlight was speaking about building found and the importance of strong communities in a startupâs success at Harbour Founder Summit.
In my talk, I argued that being a founder is tough on so many levels. On a personal level, you might feel lonely. Very few people really get why youâre doing it, and then thereâs the constant struggle to make it work. Zoom out, and being a founder in Europe brings a whole different set of challenges: scarce VC capital, regulations, instability on the continentâŚyou name it.
Whereas we canât really control external factors, we can shift focus to ourselves. What can make us, individual entrepreneurs and ecosystem as a whole, stronger? My answer is supportive communities where one person's success lifts everyone else up.
Iâm happy that Hamburg has such communities, and my appeal to you is simple: join one. If you don't find one that suits your needs, create it. Believe me, it will pay off in ways you can't even imagine.
In my slides, I included some of the active communities in Hamburg and wanted to share it here with you too. The list isnât exhaustive and I will extend it and include links.
